We are still trying to figure out this year's Superbowl betting, but the online sportsbook experts are also looking at the 2011 NFL draft prospects as well. If there is a draft (contingent on a new collective bargaining agreement being signed) then the sportsbook promo observers know that this year is deep with defense. Let's take a look at the players that the betting services feel could be the best prospects for the first round of the 2011 NFL draft.
A.J. Green - WR - Georgia
With Andrew Luck deciding to go back to school rather than enter the NFL draft, that opens the door for a lot of players. A.J. Green was the highest ranked wide receiver in this year's draft, and now he could be the player to go first overall. When Green was younger, he got into juggling and that gave him a great set of hands. With his speed and his size to add to his great hands, Green is a weapon that several NFL teams fitted hats want to have on their offense.
Nick Fairley - DT - Auburn
This 2010 Lombardi Award winner will go high in the draft. As the Packers and Steelers are proving, defense wins championships. With the incredible success of Ndamukong Suh for the Lions, teams will now consider someone like Fairley as an early first round pick. He is big, fast and a mean player on the field. That attitude he carries translates into sacks and some extremely impressive tackles as a run-stopper. at 6'5" tall and 298 pounds, he is built more like a linebacker but he has the power to play the line.
Prince Amakumara - CB - Nebraska
Prince Amakumara is considered to be one of those college players that can start in the NFL right now. He has amazing closing speed and is very smart. He could definitely help fill out a secondary in places like Buffalo, San Francisco or even New England if he is still around by the time New England makes one of their first round picks. He is 6'1" tall which, considering his speed, makes him an excellent first round pick.
Da'Quan Bowers - DE - Clemson
Just about every draft expert agrees that Da'Quan Bowers is a top five pick and potential NFL starter in his rookie year. He was ranked as the number one college prospect when coming out of high school, and now he is ranked near number one as he gets ready for the pros. He won the Bronco Nagurski trophy in 2010as New York Knicks snapback cheap best NCAA defensive player for the year, and he was the ACC defensive player of the year in 2010. At 6'4" and only 280 pounds he may seem small for a defensive end, but he has the skills to be moved to inside linebacker in someone's 4-3 scheme if they so choose. But Bowers has incredible strength and he is still growing.
Patrick Peterson - CB - LSU

He was the 2010 Thorpe Award winner, the 2010 Bednarik Award winner, 2010 SEC defensive player of the year, 2009 first team All-SEC and he was the 2007 high school player of the year.
